In the automotive repair and maintenance industry, lifts are essential core equipment, and the accuracy of foundation construction directly impacts equipment stability and safety. Ultra-thin scissor lifts feature a single platform deck width of 64 cm, accommodating the tire spacing of most vehicle models. An 82 cm aisle width is reserved between the two platforms, accommodating technicians' operational needs while minimizing space waste. Note: Approximately one meter of space must be reserved on the electrical control cabinet side.
The underground design saves floor space through sunken installation. The width of a single platform is 60 cm, and the distance between the two platforms can be flexibly adjusted to 80-90 cm to accommodate different maintenance workstation requirements. The pit depth must be strictly controlled at 36 cm. Too shallow will result in unstable equipment installation, while too deep will increase construction costs.
Because the load of ultra-thin scissor lifts is concentrated on the bottom frame, the concrete thickness must be at least 16 cm, and C25 or higher grade concrete must be used to ensure compressive strength. If the foundation is backfill or soft ground, it must be compacted and reinforced with mesh to prevent settlement and cracking after long-term use.
For underground scissor lifts, the bottom and side walls must be cast with 15 cm thick concrete, with 10 cm conduit installed and a drainage slope (recommended 2%-3%) to prevent water accumulation and equipment corrosion. If the pit is located in an area with a high groundwater level, waterproofing must be performed in advance, and a gravel layer must be laid on the bottom to enhance drainage.
Passage must be provided on both sides of the scissor lift to prevent collisions during maintenance. The platform should be 4.5 meters long, with at least 1.6 meters of open space in front for maintenance and tool storage.
Use a laser level to ensure the foundation surface tolerance does not exceed ±3mm to prevent tilting and unbalanced loading during lift operation.
Embedded Part Positioning: Accurately position the anchor bolts according to the equipment drawings. A second check is required before pouring to prevent misalignment during installation.
After pouring, cover the concrete with plastic film for at least seven days to maintain moisture. Equipment can only be installed after the concrete reaches the required strength.
Load Testing: After construction is complete, perform no-load and full-load tests to inspect the foundation for cracking or settlement.
